Coming Soon, A Lot More Letting Go Thanks to Tiger Woods
I started this post after the first round of the Masters Golf Tournament. I had been quite impressed with Tiger Woods’s press conference where he let it all hang out, letting go of ego to apologize and let the world know he felt the pain he had done to those around him. In the first round he golfed pretty well. So I thought there was a correlation between letting go and releasing your mental and physical energy. Even though Tiger had a bit of a ‘maturity’ let down when he hit some bad shots over the weekend, by finishing fourth after a five month lay off, he did ok.
So what can you let go of in order to release your mental and physical energy. Are you holding onto something that’s blocking your ability to perform at your best. This could be anger, guilt, unnecessary needs or wants, expectations of yourself and others, messes [financial, health, environmental, admin, relationship or legal], or habits.
It may be hard to find what you’re holding on to. A coach or therapist may be needed. Or maybe just a good quiet stretch alone in solitary thought to focus. Try it. Take a notebook, a good statement of your desire to find out what you’re holding on to and give yourself a quiet hour to try to find it.
